CYNTHIA JANE MCMILLEN, ESQUIRE, - -
was born a "Midwest farmer's daughter" in the heartlands in
Marion, Ohio. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio
State University in 1977 with a degree in the education of
exceptional children. After teaching special education
in Marysville, Ohio, for two years, Cynthia entered law
school at Stetson University College of Law in St.
Petersburg, Florida. McMillen received her Juris
Doctor degree from Stetson University in May of 1982,
graduating Magna Cum Laude. Ranked 2nd in her law
school graduating class, she was admitted into the Florida
Bar in late 1982.
Cynthia spent a year conducting a research and design
project for an Applied Ethics course for St. Petersburg
Junior College. Following the birth of her second son,
Cynthia went to work in the business law firm of Annis,
Mitchell, et al. in Tampa, Florida, where her main area of
responsibility was conducting legal research and memo and
appellate brief writing. Then came a ten-year stint as
a "stay-at-home" mom, with all time and energy devoted to
the raising of her four sons, Caleb, Gabriel, Taylor, and
Isaac.
Upon Isaac's entering kindergarten, Cynthia went to work at
the Law Offices of Joseph F. Pippen, Jr. Cynthia has
been with the firm for nearly eleven years, and her main
areas of practice are probate and trust administration.
Having lost her husband to cancer in 2003, Cynthia resides
with her sons in Largo, Florida. Cynthia and her
family have been active members of First Baptist Church of
Indian Rocks in Largo, Florida, for the past 27 years.
